Visit to head office of Divya Bhaskar

On 20th August 2022, the Rotaract Club of Bhavnagar Royal (3060) visited Divya Bhaskar’s Head Office (at Chitra, Bhavnagar) along with the members of the Interact Club of Bhavnagar Royal.

It is said that “A good newspaper is a nation talking to itself.”
Arthur Miller

We all assembled in the conference room of Divya Bhaskar at 7:00 pm and the chief editor Mr. Tarak Shah welcomed us with refreshments; gave us information about how the press works and the progress they have proudly achieved through these years with their hard work and dedication. Subsequently, one of their staff members gave us a tour of their entire office, machinery department, and printing section. Each staff member was humble and greeted us with a warm smile.

All of us were curious and asked several questions during the entire tour. We learned a lot about the raw materials used like paper and ink and saw the giant printing machines as well. The technical workers on the floor explained to us the dispatch process, and the agents involved in distributing these newspapers 24x7 to ‌every corner of the city and the villages on time. They also referred to them as “The Real Warriors” of their organization as they ensure the delivery even during the extreme weather‌.

Overall, It was a delightful experience for all of us and the visit was full of knowledge and fun.

Drawing Competition by Rotaract Club

Hello Readers!, warm welcome to all of you to read our blog. We are publishing this blog to introduce you all to the activities which are part of Rotaract year 2022. So let's read about the Independence Day special blog.

➡️Glimpse of Drawing competition:

We all are aware of the theme of "Har Ghar Tiranga" and "Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav" and recently we celebrated 15th August with grand celebrations. Rotaract club Bhavnagar Royal 3060 organized a drawing competition for children of the Sneha foundation. In the afternoon at 2:30, we started the drawing competition and the subjects of the drawing were:
Har Ghar Tiranga
Vruksha Ropan (Tree plantation)
Vikas (development)

Children started painting their thoughts on paper! They unknowingly painted their understanding of the ‌subjects. It is said that,
"Life is the Art of Drawing without an eraser" by John W. Gardner

This quote makes us realize that the Art of Drawing and Painting is not just an Art! It is a life lesson too…. So let's try to read it by painting brush, let's take it with crayons! Let's spread a bunch of happiness with the rainbow of colours.

With the ending of the drawing competition, all Rotaract members joined the Sneha foundation in the flag hoisting programme. We chose the three best drawings among all and announced the winners! And the best part was about suggestions! We gave suggestions to the children about skills which can help them draw further. This was an amazing experience. Thanks to the Rotaract club for making us part of this wonderful event.
